The city council is lowering the bar of government to a more savage and vindictive politcal landscape, where if you can't win honestly through historic and time honored traditions like voting and crafting legislation. Those pushing agendas resort to underhanded political manuevering and merging civil law with contract law to get their way.
Not only is community fluoridation not a one size fits all solution. It is counter intuitive to the notion of individual human rights. Each Man Woman and child is a committee of one with natural borne individual rights.
The Spokane city council is on the wrong side of history on this issue in more ways than one.

Keep poison out of our water. Some are highly sensitive to it. Others have conditions that will be made worse because of it. There's a ton of reasons why we should not add it and only one reason to add. The less than 25% reduction in underprivileged cavities is not a good enough reason when that can be addressed through other avenues. The citizens should decide what happens with their water not a hand full of corrupt council members.

I do not support fluoride in our water. So much harm can be done to our bodies from it. We already voted no. No means No. Our vote should mater and the council is surely showing us they Do Not Care about the people by not listening and overturning it! Council should be fired!

The manipulation of a community water source should be put to a vote of the people before even considering the acceptance of this grant and course of action.

The risks inherent in contaminating one of Spokanes best natural resources far outway any benefits. Floride isn't inherently bad, but it's already in almost all toothpastes, people, children especially, dont need an additional exposure every time they eat, drink, bathe or wash their hands.

I do not use fluoride and neither do my kids. Our teeth are great with our daily brushings and floss. Eat healthy and don't eat/drink to much candy or soda. If you want fluoride, make your own choice with your toothpaste. Don't subject the rest of us to it.

Fluoridation of the public drinking water should not be allowed. The people have voted the proposition down 3 separate times, yet here e are again.
