Community Petition: No Fire Station in Our Backyard

My property value is gonna tank if this happens. nobody wants to buy a house next to a fire station with lights flashing all night long.

Find a better spot. Way too close to homes.

The traffic on long drive is already a mess. adding sirens and big trucks every hour is gonna make it impossible to get out of the subdivision.

Just don’t want to have congestion and price value be affected by the county. It has to be other locations close by where the fire station can go..

I really enjoy the peace and quiet that’s why we bought in this area along with the fact that the community has one way or n and one way out. Because we will be next to the station we will hear the loudest noise especially calls for emergency late night or early morning. Although this seems to e a done deal, no one asked the homeowners how we felt about the building of a fire station right up under our noses. In addition, it will take down the value of our home. The noise would be factored in whether someone would want to purchase a property in this community that comes up for sale. I don’t want to be a negative nanny, so I will list the Pros: emergency calls will be answered quickly, the once wooded or grassland will have a useful building on it. I am glad we started this petition because it gives the community a voice.

PLEASE NO. we moved here for the quiet and having a station right next to our back fence is going to keep the kids up all night.

I feel there will be significant and disruptive noise from sirens, air horns, as well as potential issues with decreased resale value for Aldyn home owners.
