This year has been unlike any other for countless reasons of which you already know. We started the year at home, struggling to find the motivation to log onto zoom and keep a smile on our faces. Many of my peers have opened up about their mental health struggles throughout their at-home learning experience. When the doors finally opened we were so excited to come back, only for us to be crushed again with huge exams like MCAS, and now finals. I know I speak for everyone when I say that finals should be the last thing your students worry about at the end of this school year filled with so much uncertainty.

The momentum shifting behind this petition is honestly overwhelming after the long months we have all endured. Seeing so many of you acknowledge the exhaustion we feel makes the struggle to be heard feel a little less lonely.

why are we doing this?? the year was online and now they want full finals?? makes zero sense.
The kids are completely burnt out. Give them a break already they have worked hard enough.
It’s either no finals or making it optional. I cant imagine the stress these students went through this year
Totally, I’ve seen my daughter stress over the mcas so much and I cant imagine how it’ll be for finals.
we already have to do mcas and now finals?? and also the juniors don’t need to take anything
They haven’t been in school for a year and this happens?shocking behavior

My son literally cries over these tests. This school year has been actual torture and adding finals on top of everything is just cruel.
