there is no greater heart break than having the mark you need get destroyed by an example; and it is depressing that we are defined by our grades, and that determines who we will become. I sign this in the hopes that hard work will be the determining factor of who we become, not some test worth 10%-50% of our grade

Wait you're kidding me right? This will never work. Not only is it just stupid, exams, (for people who will actually succeed in life and actually try at school), are a way to raise your marks. And also, yes, 10% of students don't have to write them... so... suck it up, they missed valuable time and will struggle next year. The point of school is to learn and keep knowledge. Exams are to make sure you have kept knowledge, that is what intelligence is, and that is what Universities are looking for... once again, what school is about. If school was there so that you could go, listen to a lecture, obtain no info, and leave, there would be literally no point to it. I know, life is tough, living in Halton really sucks... oh, wait, no it doesn't, it's one of the most benefitted places in the world. So suck it up, if you do poorly on your exam, and get removed from university because of that, then guess what. You just aren't smart enough to be in the school anyways, you would have stayed a year, then been cut from the program. I end with the conclusion that, on the scale of 700 000 students, 25 000 will make no difference. For such a thing to happen it would need to be a majority, and also, probably from adults. You may suggest that I'm just an "adult who doesn't understand", but no, I am in high school myself, now... I say #firstworldproblems , and bid thee all a good night.

This is exactly my scenario, I need to maintain a 90+ average to be concidered for many bursaries that I spent hours writing essays for. If I don't get these bursaries I will be in debt for a very long time. So not having exams will let me keep my already existent 90 average and. Also I agree that it is very unfair, that just cause they got a break, they get the privilege of not having to write exams while we have been working hard and have to continue to write exams.
