I disagree with the idea of eliminating exams. Exams strongly encourages review of materials and actually has students learning. Without exams, students would likely throw away their material immediately after assessments. Many students fail to understand why we learn. We learn to, in a sense, catch up with the intelligence of humanity, not so we can have some major title or get into a prestigious university. By completely eliminating examinations from the system, it would be incredibly likely that general intelligence would go down, especially in areas that require you to remember specific concepts, such as math. Compared to the rest of the country, exams are 100% necessary, and it doesn't make sense to completely eliminate exams because others don't get them. If the student has worked hard enough for one year, it makes sense for them to work extra hard for the last couple of weeks. The purpose of tests and exams are to assess students' learning. If students' grades go down after your exams, it is likely that they have forgotten what they have learned. It makes more logical sense to enforce exams and make them mandatory for the 10% of schools who do not write exams.
