YES! NO EXAMS ALL THE WAY! School would be so much easier to get through and so much less stressful for not only the students, but the teachers as well. The teachers wouldn't have to go through all that time and effort to put together an exam for half the students to fail anyways. ALSO, the students wouldn't have to go through all that stress and studying just to go to an exam with a 50/50 chance of failing/passing. School would just be so much better this way. (In my opinion) :)

I agree with the petition fully. The situation was out if the students control, so, in the spirit of equal opportunity and fair treatment, I believe that all students in the boards affected by the striking teachers should not be required to write exams.

This is stupid. York University and U of T had strikes recently and their exams still carried out. Courses were fast tracked and also crammed down their throats. If these highschool students can't handle it now, how do they expect to handle it later on? All of this is just an excuse for them to slack off. ALL students should be writing their exams. Good luck.

I strongly believe that this is unfair. Exams are the busiest time of year for students. Teachers decide to cram work down our throats within the last 2 weeks of class because they didnt get through their curriculum fast enough. And thats our faults? On top of having to complete ISU's, Final Projects, and Culmimating activities, we are obligated to find time for work and homework. I dont think teachers realize how much time homework really takes. We attend high school from 8am-2pm thats 6 hours of our day. Homework takes 2 or more depending on the load. That 8 hours of our day to school and nothing else. If we work at 3 or 4 were not getting off for 5-7 hours. Then when we get home at 10pm or later we worry about our homework and lose HOURS of sleep completing such so we dont get percentages taken off day by day.
Students have so much to save for. WE NEED TO WORK. Especially the ones that dont get anything handed to them and must earn everything themselves. Work is our only option to get what we NEED. Our drivers license, college/university, moving out, supporting yourself.
Exams, you are studying EVERYTHING you learned from start to finish. Last semester my classmates and I recieved out exam review less than A WEEK BEFORE exams. Imagine trying to re learn everything in 4 different subjects and remembering such while at the same time juggling work, and extra homework.
Doctors are wondering why anxiety levels in high school students are so high these days.
Thanks
