Students are very pressured when it comes to studying and writing exams. We shouldn't be graded when it comes to one exam that can influence us and our marks. All the assessment should be in class. When i as a student is given the stress to memorize large amounts of information in a short period of time that we learned months ago makes it difficult and unfair.

Exams do not test knowledge, they test memory. Testing ones memory on an entire semester or years worth of course work is unfair and stressful. For students today, dealing with many issues, exams become an unnecessary and unfair stress placed on their shoulders.
