Throughout the year the teachers see the progress or deprogress the students are making. No need for exams. If a student is per say passing with a 56 for example, he/she might feel overwhelmed and feel like there's no hope in relearning everything for exams. And because of this, "anxiety" and overwhelm-ness he/she is most likely going to flunk their exam. Therefore, if the exam Hadn't occurred, the student would of passed with a simple 56.
