It's not fare to end the whats app support just like this, if there are different platform users then it's the responsibility of a service provider to be accesses able and reachable to a users. On the other hand it is in interest vice-versa for service user also. Approachability should be made easier for plethora of mobile platform rather than making it limited to a niche approach.

Whatsapp and a physical keyboard of a blackberry are a match made in heaven and currently the main reason I have a BB. I'm gutted to hear that Whatsapp will stop maintaining this version of their app!

I don't see a reason why BlackBerry is not part of their future development. Whatsapp is being used on almost every phone model but why limit to android and ios?

Whatsapp is being used daily by so many BB users. This a very bad decision by Whatsapp and should be reversed.

It's unfair to ditch BlackBerry 10 which is a great platform and very harsh to let down millions that are using it

We will disseminate this to staff, faculty and students in our large organization. Being large private companies, WA and FB are free to take such decisions, but it sours their relationship with 25 million BlackBerry users as of Dec 2015. In the UK train services employees, many Police services in India, goverment, hospital and municipal employees in Canada, US Federal govt and departmnt of defense---all prefer to use BlackBerry because of its solid encryption, which is unmatched. Wake up WA/FB. This will come back to bite you--there are many interesting start ups that will replace you in 10 years or less

That can't be a financial problem to end support for BlackBerry and windows Phone. It's a political thing. How many money paid Apple for this decision?
