I sincerely hope your legal ppl are fighting this move because it qualifies, as far as I am concerned, as a distortion of competition in favour of other platforms/brands. Go and fight it, BB!!!

I'm really disappointed! In how far does that connect more people when they stop supporting devices? I bet they have a contract with Google, in order to kill Blackberry once and for all. I don't want to be forced to buy a new phone I don't want!

There are so few smartphones with real keyboard (like "passport"). Why trouble just their users?

No other platform is a secure as BlackBerry. Don't abandone those who need security over convenience.

Atleast let the app be there without updates. The problem is I love both BB and WhatsApp but can't afford to buy a second phone just for WhatsApp

Even if we are using Whatsapp on Blackberry. We are still using it. So please don't stop it and force us to go to other phone companies. We love Blackberry as much we love Whatsapp.

No enforcement! There should be options and a free will to choose.

I am a Blackberry user. I have a lot of friends who are Blackberry users as well. We need Whatsapp to keep in touch with our other friends who don't use Blackberry for one reason or another. Please do NOT pull Whatsapp service from Blackberry 10 devices. Thanks.

Our family and friends will simply switch to an alternative app if WhatsApp no longer supports my Blackberry Z10.

Seems like a drastic action to completely shut down the app for Blackberry users. I'm sure FB could come up with some form of workaround if they wanted to, obviously they don't care about Blackberry users. Also, the wording of the notice about the change has a very top-down paternalistic feel, like a subtle way to make Blackberry users feel inferior.

I use what's app as it's so handy to connect with everyone else. Consumers surely should have a choice, not be forced to buy certain handsets from particular companies, that has a communist ring to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very disheartened by all of this. ALSO let's be honest twitter I just don't get. I prefer phone calls, texts, chat etc. I bet the majority of BlackBerry owners are of similar thought. At least keep a backwards compatible service. Up the price (slightly) to use this. Obviously no updates, support etc. For the good of effective communication, use your common sense and keep What's app on Backberry RIM - work with what's app and come up with a solution. Think of linking, some how what's app to BBM!? Now that's an idea maybe even a money spinner. A few £/$ to buy an upgraded version that allows mega communication! Just please somebody figure this out. The bottom line is... it's simply not fair!
