With the elimination of support, I will have to look for alternative messengers and encourage my colleagues to do the same. I don't mind having outdated apps, but to shut us out of the market completely is tasteless.

Please reconsider. I had just purchased the Passport late last year for a considerable amount of money and request sincerely that whatsapp does not cancel service.

We have only recently purchased Passports and have no intention of moving away. We Love Whatsapp but will need to look at an alternative messenger in the future .

My Blackberry Classic will be barely over one year old. It works perfectly well with no lag, and has a beautiful keyboard and exterior. It is ridiculous to be compelled to change a phone just because the a dominant chat platform supposes to withdraw support. If it proceeds, I will possibly go without WhatsApp, and turn to other chat platforms.

You don't have to end support in order to not go through the struggle to implement future features on the BB10 OS we don't even care for your future features here on BB10 OS we love to keep it simple and straight forward because our focus is on productivity and doing serious work. The basic functionality is enough for us texting, calling and sharing documents. We don't need the future facebook Whatsapp merge social media doesn't concern us at all.
Whatsapp just leave the application running on our phones and change it's name to whatsapp classic which will be lite version of whatsapp with basic functionality and we will be more than grateful.
I hope you take my petition into consideration and hope for whatsapp to build a lite version on BB10 OS with the basic functionality we really don't need more.

This is unbelievable. Just leave Watsapp as it is with no future developments or updates and allow us to continue using the app and not have to buy a new phone just to be able to use one app.
