Are there sufficiently well maintained facilities in these encampments? We have to treat people with humanity and dignity if we expect “rule-following”... perhaps and hopefully, then, the conversation would not sound like we are putting environmentalism vs homelessness... that would be the wrong argument....

Please take the action necessary to ensure that Seattle's parks are safe for families to play in.

I agree that our open public spaces are for all to enjoy. The homeless issue should not justify destroying our historic and prized outdoor settings. Tired of our services and limited resources constantly used for the homeless. Citizens of the past worked very hard to get our public spaces, public. Let us not disregard the reason these parks were created to begin with.

Please remove encampments just as rigorously as you enforce other misuse and nuisance codes. We want back our parks! Many are not safe due to needles, drug users, trash and sanitary wastes, and all vagrants. We have our rights, too.

Protect our green space.

City Hall should build adequate shelters for homeless people. Tax money should be used to help the less fortunate among us who are growing in numbers every day. Roll up your sleeves folks and do something about it

Once they are out of the parks, if allowed to live on any city owned land (including cars on the street), they must be required to keep the area free of trash.

RIDICULOUS that we, as a community, have to sign a petition to ask our government and parks department to enforce their own laws to keep our parks from being taking over by vagrants, drug users. Our children can't even play in a park without parents doing a sweep for needles and harmful human waste first.

You are all grossly derelict in your number one duty, which is to protect your taxpaying citizens. Enough cossetting of the homeless.

Thank goodness you are organizing opposition to the current homeless camps that are becoming visible everywhere.

Thank you for protecting our parks. Finding heroin needles in parks where children play is unacceptable.
