There is already limited parking and putting double yellow line would make is even worse for local residents and their visitors.

Double lines around bowes street development will cause further parking issues on surrounding street such as Rosebery street.

I am signing this petition to object to any double yellow lines being put down. There is already a massive issue with parking and hostility between neighbours as people cannot park their own cars outside their own homes. When approval was given to build the new houses/apartments , why was parking not looked at! Where do the council think the additional cars would go! Parking is an absolute nightmare and putting in double yellows will only make this worse. This will cause unnecessary stress to residents, it will devaule the price of our homes for any potential new buyers as having parking is ideal to most. Not being able to park outside our own homes or close compromises the security of our cars. Restricting the parking will make the situation much worse, and will also put more pressure on the parking situation in the surrounding area. I have not seen any significant difficulties arising with the flow of traffic from residents as the number of parked cars has increased. The only reason the flow of traffic is an issue is with all the construction vehicles still needed to finish off the build. However, that could be easily relieved once the build is finished. Overall, I believe the effect of having cars parked on both sides of the road has actually been beneficial. There has long been a problem with vehicles speeding. Having vehicles parked on both sides of the road appears to have provided some degree of traffic calming, which has helped to reduce the average speed of vehicles, and the number of speeding vehicles. This serves to make the road safer and quieter, which can only be a good thing. Restricting parking as proposed will not only reduce parking options for local residents, it will effectively widen the road leading to an increase in average traffic speed, making the road noisier, and less safe for local residents, cyclists and pedestrians. More importantly, I would ask that you hold this consultation on a much wi

There is already not enough parking for residents on the side streets of Bowes Street so this will cause chaos! Why build hundreds of new properties with not enough parking facilities???!!!!

The parking situation is bad enough as it is. The double yellow lines will only add more pressure to parking and neighbourhood relations, it cannot go ahead.

I don't live on Bowes Street, but the knock-on effects on neighbouring streets will be huge and create huge issues down the line.

We don't want double yellow lines on Bowes Street, parking is already a big issue and cannot park outside our own houses.

This is unacceptable given the already hectic parking situation as it is.
