This is totally unfair on those who work hard take risks running a small business usually working long hours striving to do well. Do I need to say more probably all conservative voters who all pay their fair share of taxes anyway!

More tax and also pension liabilities put on to small Companies that have not recovered the crash since 2008.
That is over 7 Years with no real profits.

This new tax, along with removal of travel expenses makes it not worth being a contractor. You end up taking all the risk of being a part time contractor with fixed term work, no holiday/sick pay or pension, and none of the benefits because you can no longer save for the periods of time you are out of work, because the government is taking it in tax. If you destroy the contractor market, it is also businesses who lose out as nobody will be filling that requirement for short term work because the government have made It not worth it to do so.

This tax change will make it more difficult for small business owners to re-invest into their own businesses and draw a reasonable personal income. Small businesses are the life blood of a prosperous economy!

This has not been thought through. Government raises no more tax as transfers corporation tax to personal tax, BUT to have the same personal disposable income, we must now pay more tax due to going into higher rate. Being unable to afford this in the long run (think pensions), we must reduce our expenditure to fit new lower disposable income. This suppresses spending and economic growth. It's mad.

It is a multiple kicks in the teeth by the Government. They are choking small businesses. We shoulder the risk of setting up and running our own business and what we get are heavier burdens: more tax, dump and transfer statutory sick onto small business owners.

This new tax will bring small companies to their knees and the country will slump back into Recession.
Why should Small companies and not the Googles and Starbucks of this world be penalised in such an unfair fashion. Tax the poor to give to the rich typical Tory policy. Maggie will never be dead as long as David Cameron is alive.

The Country will suffer due to these new measures. Small business will be under more pressure and when the new pension rules are implentmented it will be a further blow to small business who will stop empoying people and investing. This is measure brought in by people who haven't a clue how business is in reality. Some pen pusher who sees this as an easy catch.

Again we see a Government penalize the Smaller Business owner while all the time reducing tax for Big Business (should they decide to pay any). This Conservative government really has shown is dislike of the Family run businesses that are the backbone of this country, it is a disgrace.

Small business owners have little influence which is, I suspect, the reason this has been done. Sadly, neither of the major parties can be called a friend of small business, but this is iniquitous. There are over 4 million small businesses in the UK. Why are there so few signatures here?

This is the first time in my working career that I have known a Conservative government directly attack small business owners who form the backbone of the employers in the country.
I would urge all readers to publicise this petition and share the link with colleagues, friends and family to encourage support. It's pathetic that only 250 people have signed this since 9 July.

This comes as a blow to small businesses. Why anyone would vote Tory again after the very thing they stood for - entrepreneurism - now comes under threat. Do they really want to kill off the spirit of Britain like this? It seems too easy an option, and if this change really goes ahead they will lose masses of appeal very early on in their 5 year term. I urge them to rethink this decision as there are other less damaging ways to collect revenue.
