We do not need deputy ministers. This will be a huge cost on the already merger resources that we have. We need to refrain from taking the votes PF got for granted and take power of the people for granted. Powerful governments in the world have fallen due to not listening to the people's voice. This and many other bad decisions can be a time bomb for the government.

We don't need Deputy Ministers! Our Country is already in chaos. What will they pay them when they claim there's no money to pay Civil Servants

We the people of Zambia said that we don't need Deputy Ministers and the constitutions was amended to reflect the wish of the people,Member of parliament are not our masters but representatives they have not right to change the wish of the people or go against us.The house is called the parliament of Zambia and not PF parliament.

People said no to deputy ministers in the new constitution why should the MP'S introduce that through the back door . It's not the mps constitution but people's. Learn to listen to them.Mosakula mitu, muzatifuna mailo.

I say NO amendment to the constitution. In fact, there should be no amendments at all. We trusted our Members of Parliament and gave them the mandate to protect our laws, why should we go on to allow them to betray us because of their selfishness and greed? The Constitution is not even one year in existence, and already it is being tabled for amendments! Why should we suffer because Edgar Chagwa Lungu (ECL) didn't read and understand what he was assenting to? What benefit is the office of Deputy Minister to this country other than to enrich the individual holding the title? Like someone earlier mentioned, all what Deputy Ministers do is cut ribbons and read speeches written for them during official opening of some events . Therefore, why waste tax-payers money on amending the Constitution and paying hefty salaries & allowances instead of putting it to better use? Citizens of Zambia, we deserve respect. Even tough it is said that “respect is earned and not demanded“, in this case let us demand our respect by matching to Parliament and petition those rascals to stop this nonsense. Its time they realised we are the main stakeholders to this..... But where are the NGOs? Where is Civil Society?? And where is the Council of Churches?? Why are they mute on such a sensitive issue? I fear this petition may not succeed without physical action. We spoke against and petitioned the staying of ministers in office......, the formation of new ministries. And it failed. So let us stand together in unity to fight for the retention of the current Constitution by protesting on the streets. Or else we shall forever remain victims.

It's a bad idea which needs to be condemned in the strongest terms. The country's economy is under stress and our MPs can't look beyond their own self interests sure?

The Parliament should not allow the Deputy Ministers to come back, they instead they should allow Ministers to be appointed outside Parliaments
