These two lines are brilliant! "Whereas all Muslims are not blamed when Muslims are convicted of committing an atrocity against non-Muslims and all Canadians should not be characterized negatively through a “National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia” due the actions of one person; and Whereas other attacks perpetrated by Muslims against non-Muslims in Canada, including the killings of Patrice Vincent and Nathan Cirillo and many averted attacks including, among others, those of the Toronto 18, the “Millennium Bomber,” the Via Rail bombers, and the Strathroy bomber were not proposed to be commemorated by “days of remembrance.”

The government should be more concerned with getting the muslim brotherhood out of Canada.

Including any mention of "ISLAMAPHOBIA" and or a Recognized Celebration is absolutely not acceptable, and will ONLY cause FURTHER division as is already demonstrated by the Government!

We don't need this type of legislation. Pitting one group against another. History shows terrible things have been done by all races. Either against one another or others. This just adds fuel to the fire.

We took the Country from the Natives and are giving it away one day at a time to every foreign entrant possible. Proud to be White!

This sort of policy discourages debate and place limits on speech which should have no place in a free and democratic society.

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms provides sufficient protection where ALL religions are treated equally under the law. No need for special treatment or a day of remembrance.

I am unable to provide financial support. But as a senior and Canadian citizen from birth, I strongly believe it is time to terminate the current, out-of-touch with reality government in Ottawa.

Unnecessary and divisive.

This is getting ridiculous and bordering the insane "people kind" mind and thought control. That is not my Canada where we are accepting of others regardless of tongue, colour, religion, sex. I wish the government would get out of our lives and run the business of our country rather than trying to subject us to their ideologies and push their agenda on us. Enough is enough already.

Religious freedom should be protected for all religions. No special favors for any particular religion. Human Rights for all.

Islamophobia aterm concocted by Khalid to allow Muslim hate speech & racism while preventing non-Muslim freedom to respond to the Muslim hatred & threats.

I would never support anything with the term islamophobia in it. Ever. Celebrate day of Muslims ... sure when we have a day for Hindus, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Taoists and atheists. Or better yet, can't we just stick to Canada Day. Save ourselves from more devisiveness.

THE WORD ITSELF "ISLAMOPHBIA" MEANS THE FEAR OF SOMTHING, CAN SOME ONE EXPLAIN WHY WE DO NOT HAVE PHOBIA OF OTHER RELIGIONS ON CANADA'S SOIL AND ONLY THE PHOBIA IS FROM "ISLAM"

This is an affront to our free speach and is not needed. It is a very dangerous precedent if passed.
