Say “NO” to a Day of Action on Islamophobia in Canada

I want the Government of Canada to ignore Recommendation 30 of the Heritage Committee’s Report on Systemic Racism and Religious Discrimination Including Islamophobia and not institute a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia as requested.

Always good to point out that the transformation of Canada from a 96% White country was the result not of love for humanity but of hatred for White people. Access to white people is not a human right: Enough. The racial and cultural identity of Canada is legitimate and defensible. I am opposed to all forms of bigotry, including anti-Muslim bigotry. But I am also opposed to use of the term Islamophobia which is poorly defined and includes any criticism of the religion Islam, which is a set of ideas. In a free society no idea should be free from criticism.

This is crazy this is just for votes.

"Day of Action on Islamophobia in Canada" is ludicrous. It is a contrived idea utterly without merit.

Canadians have always been welcoming to new immigrants. M103 implies discrimination against one religion over all others. Quelling free speech or critical debate goes against everything that makes this country great. liberals please stop causing division in this country.

We have hate crimes that encompass all canadians! We do not want special laws for one body of people.

This corrupt Liberal government are the sole blame for any division between citizens of Canada and the sooner we get rid of these criminals the better.

The only bigots I can see around here are the liberals who only think in terms of race and tribe, instead of creed.

As a muslim immigrant, I condemn politicians creating fake fear among Canadians. Canadians are not racist or Islamophobics. We have nothing but acceptance and amazing love from other Canadians. We condemn this unnecessary "Day of Action on Islamphobia" as it is only going to sow more differences when there are none. Canadians should reject the divisive and destructive policies of Liberals and NDP politicians. Canadians should also reject the exclusionary rights of certain group that want to muzzle free speech. We came to Canada, leaving a Muslim country behind, so that we can enjoy free, secular and open society. If we wanted to live in a closed society that muzzles free speech what was the point of uprooting from homeland and coming to Canada?

Please take that word "islamaphobia" out bcause favours Islam over every other religion in Canada and that is definitly wrong in a free democratic country.

There should be no emphasis on one religion or race over any other. Why is the Liberal party so hell bent on dividing its Canadian citzens. This is becoming obsessive and not warranted. This M-103 bill needs to be changed.. When something allegedly happens to a Muslim, it is all over the news, and Canadians are shamed by our government. When a Muslim allegedly does something to a non-Muslim, it is barely mentioned. Case in point, the hijab incident,which turned out to be a hoax. There wasn;t even an apology given to the Asian community. I, personally believe the government should not be partial to any religion or race. As our Prime Minister exhaustingly reminds us "a Canadian is a Canadian is a Canadian" I feel, if that's the case, then we should all be regarded fairly. Show all of Canada that you are representing each and every citizen equally and impartially. Instead of constantly reminding us that we can do better. It's enough already.

I support the reasons for this petition. To do anything else tell rd our free speech and sense of identity. The term islamaphobia is also not accepted by me..it is merely the way to manipulate Canadians.

Islam should not be given special favour in Canada. There were more hate crimes against Jews or blacks than Muslims so Muslims should not be given special protection against hate crimes. All hate crimes should be condemned regardless of religion or race perceived as targeted. We should keep in mind that some more fundamentalist Muslims in some European or other countries have used political means to try to stifle free speech including reasonable criticism of Islam such as of terrorist acts done in the name of Islam in European or other nations such as France, the UK and Turkey and I think Belgium.

This motion is inherently keeping race in the forefront of Canadian consciousness. It's racist. And moreover, discriminatory: Racism and discrimination adopted, without much citizenry support, as a core official Canadian policy.
