It is painful to be painted as an angry racist by our governing party when indeed no such feeling exists. This proposed Day of Action on Islamophobia is an insult to non-Muslim Canadians.

The efforts by the Liberal Government in this case are considerate to be very manipulative. Free speech is to be protected.
Absolutely !

Our Canadian constitution covers all religions. Let's guard against the perils of a blasphemy law.

"Phobia"
an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
There are very real dangers that come with the spread of Islam. Just read the Koran and Hadiths about what is said about their prophet, Mohammad, the perfect man. A murderer, a rapist, a sexual deviant, a thief, and a warmonger. Read how followers of Islam are supposed to treat the Kafir. Thus there is no such thing as Islamophobia.

Hate crimes are hate crimes so we do not need to single out "Islam". The laws already protect them.

Sharing concerns about Islamic terrorism is not hate speech, freedom of speech is a charter right!

A phobia is an UNWARRENTED FEAR!
Thus Islamophobia is an UNWARRANTED FEAR of Islam. Due to nearly daily barbarism by REAL Muslims (Not the liberal variety) any FEAR is NOT UNWARRANTED and so the term Islamophobia is an OXYMORON!

As a Canadian, I find the continuing use of the term "Islamophobia", especially in this context, to be offensive.

I agree with the factual statements comprising this petition and point out that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gas himself, made offensive comments directed toward citizens who profess Christian beliefs, & our "holy book", the Bible. The recommended amendments in this petition if implemented, would ensure that ALL Canadians, of ALL FAITHS would benefit from the bill and not show preference for any one religious group.

Scrap M-103; or at least remove the term “islamaphobia”

The only "phobia" I can think of is "Francophobia"; the fear of a Quebec controlled government and its agendas.

Islamaphobia is an oxymoron. Their doctrine is based on several abusive practices, i.e. child abuse, polygamy, jihadism/terrorism, anti-feminism, etc.

We don’t need a day to remember islamiphobia, whatever that is, that won’t change anything, we need to love our neighbour as ourselves.
