I was so proud to see the people of San Marcos come out against the proposed data centers. They spent their free time to protect their water, and their elected officials listened. But then the City of Round Rock did the exact opposite of San Marcos’ elected officials—they ignored their constituents and agreed to build data centers anyway. The people do not want this! And as someone who lives in Austin, none of us agreed to this but we will all be harmed by it. Round Rock’s data centers will steal our water too. Texas does not have enough water to give it to data centers! We don’t need them and we don’t want them!
