As a fellow neighbor and Texan, I strongly oppose any data centers in San Marcos, the hill country, or in Texas in general. These centers are running us dry and I fear what this will do our environment and the animals that call this place home.

If the welfare queen billionaires want to build their data centers then they need to create their own resources & infrastructure for it instead of taking away from the surrounding areas & making everyone else pay for it.

We already have severe water issues here and the noise level it creates. We don’t need this here, or frankly anywhere. It damages our environment and honestly we can just use our own brains and talent. We don’t need to have a computer do it.

We’re already in a severe drought, the aquifers & springs are drying up at a historically alarming pace. A data center in our area would worsen the issue exponentially, leading to citizens not having fresh water to drink, cook, or bathe with.

As a former resident of San Marcos, any data Centers to the city/region would be disastrous. Keep San Marcos beautiful for generations to come!!

Although I do not live in San Marcos anymore, I am from Central Texas and went to Texas State University. The San Marcos River is a special place that needs protecting from these AI data centers.

If these data centers are built, they will literally suck the life out of our community until every spring in the area is dry. And what will we have gained?
