No Data Centers

Water is already rapidly declining resource in south and central Texas. The water needs of the people, animals ( some endangered), agriculture and environment are barely being met, yet they should come before the wasteful and unnecessary AI data centers. Data centers waste water and electricity for unproven economic returns all while benefiting from tax breaks that are hidden in higher utility bills for families. Stop this and protect the people and land.

Although being in Austin and Travis county this AI power plant will affect all surrounding cities and destroying natural wildlife and resources we need for humans not machines for profit

Really stupid idea in this part of the country. We already have water problems. This will only exacerbate them. This whole area will turn into desert.

These springs are some of the final few sacred spaces that have not yet been developed in the greater Austin area. I urge you to look beyond dollar signs and see the horrendous impact that this will have on the community, the ecosystem, and the watershed. I work in land regeneration and care deeply about land stewardship as well as know the impacts of long term drought and the emptying of our aquifers. This must end now.

Please don’t destroy the best water in central Texas, or the already sensitive aquifer that supplies water for millions of people!

I would like to say no to this petition because I know AI is an easy tool to use but there are other options that you can use in order for water to not be a profit to tech companies.

Although I’m not from this part of Texas, I’m deeply concerned for the residents of this city who will have to deal with the consequences of having a data center that will only deplete resources at an unmeasurable cost.

Please stop the data centers and preserve the land. We have enough issue as it is. We cannot support our current water usage. Don’t add more strain to our county.

We need to stop this irresponsible use of our precious water resource. We are already struggling to keep up with the demand in many areas, and building more data centers will only impact this area even more for current and future generations. Please reconsider

We don’t have the water here to support these new developments and data centers. Use your brains you are ruining our water table and access to clean water for everyone. We are doing everything we can to correct for our drought in our communities and yalls legacy in this world will be as villains and greedy for nothing. Do an environmental study, we are in a decline here with our water and fighting off developers every day regardless of data centers. Give us a break, go somewhere else at the very least. It’s disgusting the lack of attachment yall have to the communities you suck the life force out of. Shame on yall. Do better.

Texas is already water stretched and has over 500 ai data centers. Texas does not need any new data centers at all

Data centers make natural lands useless and developed lands unlivable. They waste recourses and lead to a long term loss of jobs. There is no benefit to the people worth these costs.

The drain on resources are not worth having a data city within city limits

I am strongly against any & all data centers, especially for their long documented HARM on our ecosystem, our own health as humans, & the absolute waste of money it is.

No data center in our town or surrounding counties. We don't have water to sustain data centers!
