We’re good, we do not need a data center in San Marcos.

The residence, agriculture, and natural beauty of Texas that is a defining feature of this state should be protected, and we should be focused on preserving the things that make this state unique and beautiful and supporting business that does not exploit and destroy ecosystems like this. There are animals and creatures in the Edwards Aquifer that are not found anywhere else in the world, and protecting them is directly tied to protecting resources and the home for all Texans.

We’ve been in a drought for the last 5 years. Our oaks are dying, our rivers are low and in many places, completely dry or stagnant.

Screw AI centers. Short term gain is not worth long term damage. We all live on the same rock, don’t let dumbasses ruin our home.

No! Not in this beautiful Texas land.

Our community does not have the water or energy to sustain data centers. We can not trade our environment that we need to survive in exchange for minor short term benefits. Thank you.

AI data centers are a threat to not only our land but animals, water resources, and us. We don’t need anymore of them coming in and sucking up the already dwindling resources we have. It’s a complete distribution to the environment and beautiful ecosystem that is San Marcos. Our town is an oasis that should be respected and protected at all costs.

I have lived in San Marcos, Texas for 10 years. I am proud to call this city my home. A data center will not only affect the environment but also the people and animals who inhabit it. These centers will threaten our already terrible grid, increase utility rates and put even MORE stress on our water resources.

We are already in a drinking water shortage. People need water. Not data centers. Enough is enough.

This will harm everything that makes our area beautiful, special, and safe. Please preserve our home! We don’t want this!

Stop putting profit before people! Water is essential for life, no matter how rich you are.

The decisions around data centers in San Marcos will affect water resources for all of Central Texas (and beyond). If city council approves plans for more data centers, it will be clear that they are prioritizing PROFIT over doing their job, which is to represent the will of their constituents and prioritize the well-being of their community.
