Please no data centers we are already in drought .. we used to be able to swim in summers and now there are less and less places to swim bc data centers that are currently here and over development and drought …
A single 100-megawatt data center can use up to 2,000,000 litres (530,000 US gal) of water per day-equivalent to the daily consumption of 6,500 households.' Overall, data centers in the United States consumed 17 billion gallons of water per year in 2024, and this usage was forecasted to grow to nearly 80 billion gallons by 2028.2

We are in a severe drought here in Texas. AI data centers use massive amounts of critical water and other resources with no benefit to the community. These only serve to make money for the wealthy and those have been bribed by the wealthy. Listen to your constituents. Listen to the voters of the state we do not want AI data centers to take our critical resources and turn them into wastewater. Human lives before computers. Animals and environment Before enriching billionaires.

Please do not go forward with this data center. As we live in an area with already-critical water concerns, it is wildly irresponsible to build a facility that will put crippling pressure on our environment. Prioritizing a data center over the health and longevity of our people and land is a stupid and short-sighted decision that will harm each and every citizen living in Central Texas.

Our Governors and Senators and Mayors all those in office should be for the protection of the people and the land not the protection of their wallets. Thats what this AI thing all about, their wallets. Poisoning everything.

Water is already scarce, “data centers for jobs” is just manufacturing more consumers, let the economy grow naturally and stop subsidizing big tech on the promise of a future. The future they will leave us with is one without access to water, and one where other species are erased.
