At the LPHS Board of Ed meeting on 11/22/21, the assistant principal presented information to the board about a new platform called “Panorama”. This platform was presented as a remedy for students who were not thriving/succeeding in school. Panorama uses surveys to collect information/data from your child/student. Their website states this data is used to “provide a complete picture of every student’s academics, attendance, behavior, and social emotional learning (SEL) progress in school”. While the Panorama description of the student surveys might sound harmless, what is disconcerting are the roots it has in Critical Race Theory (CRT). The concept of SEL (Social Emotional Learning) is another ruse for implementing CRT through diversity, equity and inclusion. After the presentation, the board called a vote and approved this Panorama platform and will pay for a 3-year contract! It will be implemented at Lake Park within the next 2 weeks.
Nationally there has been much news coverage regarding CRT and many parents have rejected race-based CRT in their schools. The National School Board Association (NSBA) sent a letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Attorney General Merrick Garland concerned that parents were interfering with their plans to implement CRT in schools. You may recall these same concerned parents were called “domestic terrorists” by the NSBA and encouraged AG Garland and the FBI to investigate them. It will interest you to know that the co-founder and president of the Panorama platform is AG Merrick Garland’s son-in-law!

I have been hearing from so many of you who are just as unsettled as I am about what these surveys are truly asking our children. While I wait for a formal response from the district office, I am digging deeper into the contracts and the actual language being used in these classrooms.

Seeing the outpouring of concern from other parents has validated my own fears about what our children are being exposed to in the classroom. This momentum proves that we are not alone in demanding transparency from the school board regarding these programs.

Stop forcing these radical agendas on our kids. We sent them there to learn basics not to be social experiments for the board!! Cancel this contract now.
I oppose Panorama as this is just another form of control and brainwashing. Stop telling parents they do not deserve a say in their childs education. We pay your salaries. We do have a say.
Our children should not be indoctrinated with false beliefs or other’s opinion. They need to be taught reading writing arithmetic and science.
This needs to stop!! Leave our children alone let them figure out life on there own!
I oppose this Panorama survey project . Cease and desist immediately. It is CRT in disguise.

I am opposed to any form of testing or curriculum that isn’t transparent. This three year contract being approved by the board is questionable and more information to the general public needs to be provided. Parents need to be surveyed as well after being presented with ALL of the Facts. We have a right to a say in our child’s education!! Wouldn’t you like input from parents aka taxpayers before approving three year contracts on collecting data and testing our kids even more??
