This is a petition to see what the Waverly student body and parents really want for our education. Covid19 has been on the rise for awhile now and the administration pretends like its not as big of a problem then it is; and the mask policy has not been enforced well at all and we are ready for a change.
Please sign this if you believe it is to dangerous to stay in person.
The school has had the web infrastructure all year and we are ready for change.

The school administration is still acting like everything is normal even though I keep hearing from so many of you about how sick everyone is getting in the hallways. It makes me feel like I am shouting into a void sometimes but then I see the notifications popping up and realize I am definitely not the only one feeling unsafe about this whole situation.

I really did not think this many people were feeling the same way about the classrooms but wow the momentum is finally shifting. It is wild to see everyone coming together because honestly I was just sitting in my room feeling like the only one worried about these hallways.

My younger brothers go here and shouldn't be forced to endanger their families and tangential workplaces/individuals because of the wholly inadequate and complacent school management. These past years proved that students are capable of remote learning. Be part of the solution, Waverly. GO VIRTUAL NOW!
We need to keep our staff and fellow classmates safe during these times of rising cases which involves us returning home. Staying safe. And away from contact. Many schools are stopping Covid tracing due to the fact that there are so many cases that we would be forced to shut down. Such as mason. We need to as a community do better.
I'm not saying I like Virtual, but for the safety of my school, Me, my Family, Teachers, and my Friends I am signing this.
I just had an exposed student, got a letter and he had not been pulled out of class! Virtual needs to be an option!
It seems everyday I receive an email stating that there were 1 or more positive Covid cases in a class. Im tired of the emails, tired of wondering when my child is going to bring Covid home. Let's be honest, mask wearing is not 100% guaranteed that our children will not catch Covid. With all the new strains popping up, it makes more sense to go virtual to keep everyone safe.

Georgia Tech Biosciences calculate that there’s a 78% chance that any random gathering of 25 Eaton Co residents will have at least one COVID positive person. That’s over a 99.99% chance of encountering a COVID positive person if one has six classes. Don’t get me started on the cafeteria situation.
