It saddens me that our students are not their priority. I feel by coming together there is hope for brighter change. Thank you all for your diligent attention on these matters that have to be deemed, un-acceptable.

Please include investigation of building administrators and auditors who have been allowed to pilfer and plunder from students' the school's fund raising activities, school's supplies budget, ... under the guise of athletic activities. Allowable activities of this nature demonstrates the cover-up of egregious fiduciary irresponsibility without transparency and consequences for those who continuously ignore the administrative policies and procedure in place to protect students, school funds and resources. Individuals who continually use opportunities to profit for personal gain, need to be dealt with in a manner that prevents them from seeking out means to gain financially. No more slaps on the wrist.

"[PGCPS Graduation] Audit Found Smoke; Now Need Investigation To Find Fires // Time For Maryland To Do An Atlanta Gold Standard Investigation!" was the title of my Dec. 2017 presentation to the MD state BOE. It is on the MD state BOE website at http://www.marylandpublicschools.org/stateboard/Documents/12052017/PublicComments12052017.pdf Search for "Dancis". Quoting the N.Y. Times: "For places that are serious about exposing cheating, there is a new gold standard: Atlanta. ... Then, ... the governor decided that, once and for all, he was going to get to the bottom of things, and appointed two former prosecutors to oversee an inquiry. Sixty of Georgia’s finest criminal investigators spent 10 months on it, and in the end turned up a major cheating scandal involving 178 teachers and principals — 82 of whom confessed — at 44 Atlanta schools, nearly half the district." Also Atlanta schools' superintendent sentenced to jail under Georgia's RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) law. ("Pa. Joins States Facing a School Cheating Scandal" New York Times 2011/08/01)

I agree with the petition and believe we work in an unjust School system which does not care properly for students and their academics.

Agree with all especially #17. Our kids are not performing as well as they should. More time on tasks and preparation is truly needed. My 5th graders don’t know how to sound out words and have no base to draw from. This I have had to teach along with our hurry up and test curriculum.

Agree with all. Especially the county skewing the grading scale to show improvement that students are not making.

As a parent of a child who has had nothing but problems for the past 5 years with this district, this needs to be investigated. The lack of accoubtability is quite frankly disgusting. Our kids & teachers deserve better!!
