No way. One way in, one way out: an elementary school that is the peach of the community, there’s no way we need to be building condos on Middle Sound. It’s one of the oldest communities in the area reknown for its old school single family homes and much nicer mini mansions. No way.

I am opposed to the rezining and building of this development. This area is already congested enough. It also does not fit in with our community of single family homes that we have worked so hard to have.
Please vote NO to this.

Getting zoning variance during covid was slick enough. annexation is wrong. it will wind up costing residents. leave middlevsound loop alone. that light is awful on a good day. Stop this ridiculousness.

Please do not approve this multi-family unit. The intersection at Middle Sound and Market is one of the busiest in the county and and has the longest light in the county. An additional 72+ vehicles driven by older people is going to cause even more congestion and increase the number of accidents coming out of the Publix shopping center. I drive this area on a regular basis. Please, please, please do not approve this.

Planning Board members, County Commissioners and the City Council are cordially invited to the Middle Sound community at peak commute times to see why this is such a horrible idea! Furthermore, to promote this condo complex as “walkable” is a joke! There is no sidewalk & no safe way to cross to the Publix shopping center. Another consideration is how emergency vehicles will be able to access Middle Sound residents especially during times of gridlock traffic, which is a daily occurrence. It certainly appears that our elected officials are more concerned with increasing the tax base rather than maintaining, preserving, and improving the quality of life for existing taxpayers. Newsflash: not everyone who wants to live here is going to fit here in New Hanover County, which by the way is the second smallest county in the state land wise.

I reside at 217 Bloomington lane, which is directly behind this property and this area cannot handle these buildings, the traffic going out to market. Already an overcongested area fully support not approving this zoning request.
