This dress code is stopping students from bein there selves. Also many peers of mine don't have enough money to buy uniform not shirts with the collars, including me !

I don't see why dress code matters , it really mess with are education , we miss school because of what we were. I understand what we dress like can kind of show us what are personality's are like but me I think not most people can't afford all that extra so I think we should where what fits us comfortably.

If not, can we at least have designs on our collar shirts. Like plaid, polka dots, stripes, etc. Allow students to have originality for once.

I received a refferal that was labeled a "warning" because I wore a striped dress. The dress was not formfitting in any fashion nor was it short. It was a maxi dress that, due to my height, cascaded down my frame and over my toes. I was told that dresses were to be "solid color only". Yet, in the days following I saw a total of 34 girls all wearing striped dresses, more often than not the dress was shorter than "5 inches above the knee". Now, I'd like to point out that no where in the email about dresscode did it say "dresses must be solid color only". That very email was sent out at 5:20 PM on August 19, 2016. Whereas, school began at 7:30 AM on August 22, 2016, an entire three days before school you informed students of the dress code. By this time parents have already bought clothes that are non refundable due to the time frame, any clothes befitting the dress code's acception are sold out, and well now parents are focused on using any access money to assure no bills and such fall behind. Then you have single-parent households w/ more than one child. Sweetheart, at this point in time you are attempting a most impossible feat. There is also the fact of new kids in the district conforming to what they thought was a free dress code, they now have to scrape pennies to buy clothes within your guidelines so that their education isn't hindered because of their clothing. I find it petty that my clothes matter more than my education. I find it contradictory that my education is hindered by a school that promotes and flaunts their scores and bright minds. However, whilst I agree there has to be sudden order, compromise is key...I don't need an overlord or dictator. "You catch more flies with honey rather than vinegar." And whatnot. As long as my clothes aren't too revealing, too tight, too baggy, promoting drugs/alcohol, or have profanity...I don't see why what I wear matters. The more you restrict the more we'll disobey or search for loopholes. Keep in mind how you all we
