I was born in California in 1969 and have been raised in this state. This is my home and the home of my children who were also born here. You DO NOT have the right to drill off our coast! This is not acceptable! This is not okay by any standards! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH OUR COAST!

A healthy ocean is hugely integral to San Diegan's way of life. We don't need any more drilling operations. The risks don't out-weigh the reward. Put the potential resources of petroleum extraction towards alternative energy platforms.

We already have blobs of tar along San Diego, La Jolla, Del Mar beaches... and loads of plastic. Will swimming be a health hazard soon? Laws are needed to protect the most precious human resources. We know business will put profit before clean air and water.

As a wildlife rehabber, I already know what a minor oil spill from a ship can do to wildlife and how devastating it is to the environement. I want San Diego County's coastline to be protected from drilling not only to eliminate changes of natural disaster, but also as a way to promote renewable energy for our region and combat climate change worldwide.

Please protect our coast! We work too hard to barely stay afloat with regards to keeping the quality of our coastline high. Population increases and increased tourism already threaten the coast. An oil spill would be devastating on so many levels.
