We should not be making plans to foster the continuing use of fossil fuels like coal and this very critical time of climate changing wildfires, storms more frequent droughts and floods, this is our last chance to to stop continuing fossil fuel use and extractionism and move to clean energy and restoration.

The rail line between Willits and Rio Dell, CA has historically been prone to landslides and wash-outs. There is no good way to maintain a safe railroad along that alignment. For this reason, I am opposed to any proposal to restore this segment for any railroad use, let alone to haul coal!
