It is imperative that you stop the shipment of coal via the North Coast rail route from Montana, Utah, and Wyoming to the Pacific Ocean. This movement of coal has a high likelihood of polluting the rivers, farmland, and towns along the route. It would also lead to global warming when the coal is eventually burned. Finally, it would destroy the Great Redwood Trail, which enables healthy recreational use of the old rail line. These are the three main reasons to say NO to shipment of coal along the North Coast rail route.

This is a bad idea. Coal is going out! Humboldt County just got money for a feasibility study on an off-shore wind farm. And it's feasible. Keep the carbon in the ground! don't truck it through some of the last remaining forest wilderness in America.

I do not at all support the continued use and transport of coal. The rail needs to be turned into a trail, for non-fossil-fuel-burning transport.

Shady. No names, trying to shove this ill conceived plan down our throats. Who is going to pay for the upgrades to rail and the harbor in Eureka? Isn’t China in the Paris accord, having agreed to decrease its coal use? This is a shady, shady scam.

Coal should not be burned, no matter where on earth it is. Burning dirty bunker oil to transfer it overseas is lunacy.
No to coal
nope!
stop, just stop
This is so crazy it must be a tax write-off?
