Leave the coal in the ground. We can live a simpler life and use less fossil fuel.

The North Coast including Mendocino County is an environmentally sensitive area with limited water resources, pristine forests and miles of coastline. Most citizens here believe strongly in the harmful effects of fossil fuels on climate change. We want to support solutions to climate change that is causing drought and never ending wildfires. I am NOT in support of transporting coal through our communities on our railroad lines so that the dying coal companies can foul our beautiful and pristine North Coast counties. I will work to defeat this proposal- its ridiculous to even be considered.

This plan is dangerous and toxic. I live near the Great Redwood Trail and people will take to the courts and streets to stop you from destroying it.
