Genesis 2:2 (NIV): "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing: so on the seventh day he rested from all his work." Even God needed a break. It is unreasonable to require 28 months of non-stop, accelerated learning without expecting people to burn out, drop classes, or submit lower-quality work.

I hope someone actually cares and will not do the unjust bureaucratic move of eliminating breaks. Breaks are necessary, I would advocate for two weeks as one is not enough to recharge. The MAC program is beyond demanding, especially for those who depend on assistive technology and have to work twice as hard just to get one simple assignment done.

We should have a choice, and we need these breaks especially in a counseling program. Self care matters

We need these breaks for our overall well-being and especially our mental health. Especially as mental health practitioners, we can't start off our careers helping others already burnt out. Eliminating any breaks is both counterintuitive and counterproductive.

This is a bureaucratic decision being made by penny pinchers who don't care if they induce burnout in professors and students. Our courseload is already accelerated, and this could exacerbate the problem of individuals feeling overwhelmed taking the classes. We also want to learn from professors who aren't bone-tired from having literally ZERO weeks of time off per year. What the hell are the administrators thinking???

Please do not remove our breaks. In the MAC program, we are studying extremely sensitive and heavy subject matter at an intense pace. We need these breaks for our mental and emotional health.

I’m in the program now. It’s intense. Breaks are necessary!
