I am not in support of school time changes due to the negative impact it will place on working families and young children.

The start times will most likely have no impact on two working parent households. Our children will still wake up at the same time due to work schedules. It’ll just prolong their school day and evenings, perhaps even working against sleeping patterns and early bed times. Regulating homes and children’s sleep should be a household decision not School Board of Education regulated. I see the value of the theory however in practice it might have the opposite school desired effect, as there are many other external factors that impact children’s schedules other than the school day.

No change to school times
I am opposed to this change!!
The start times will most likely have no impact on two working parent households. Our children will still wake up at the same time due to work schedules. It’ll just prolong their school day and evenings, perhaps even working against sleeping patterns and early bed times.
