We, the undersigned, believe the implementation of the Avon and Somerset Police recommendation for installation of CCTV cameras inside The Bell as a condition for a late license to be granted, would be totally against the ethos and spirit of the community-owned pub, and would destroy the historic family atmosphere forever.
As a community venture, the very least that should have been done was to consult with the 'owners' on whether cctv should go in the application - failure to do this shows a complete lack of understanding of the relationship expected by the shareholders when they originally 'invested'

I'd like to hear from A&S police what crimes have happened in The Bell in the past year and ask them to present evidence that CCTV would have made a difference.

Being a close neighbor of the Bell I am more concerned about the extended opening hours. Totally unnecessary and would be used more than is being suggested.

We bought this great pub to ensure stuff like this didn't happen, the board should be ashamed of themselves to meekly offer cctv as a sop to getting a late licence. This must be put to the members to vote on...

This petition should be put to the shareholders to be voted on.
