This tax is a stupid idea. We are not in favor of it. All this city seems to do is look for more ways to tax.

I own Hamilton Cove Unit 2-30 and live in the Mammoth Lakes area which has a TBID different than what's proposed. Our Mammoth Lakes TBID works because its different than LOVE Catalina's proposal. The proposal as structured here needs to be revised. In fact, I'd rather see an increase of TOT by 1% with money going to the City of Avalon to provide City services rather than this proposal of TBID as structured.

Earlier we were told many things regarding this subject that appear to not have been true. It seems that the chamber of commerce has made up its mind thus disregarding the owners wishes. Ignoring that can come back to bite you. Please don’t disregard us.
