Vermonters are already taxed as deep as you can go. People are leaving the state and think a lot more will when you pass this tax rip off. Stop spending and taxing us to death.

VT already has some of the highest taxes in the nation. Our gas is already in the top 10, maybe even top 5 in expense. Our property taxes are also incredibly high. I will be leaving if this goes through.

I drive from St. Albans to Essex every week day for work. The expense for fuel is high enough. I can not afford another $1 a gallon.

This is just another step in the process of trying to justify the ill advised mandated renewable electric energy cost increases. It's only by making the carbon energy more expensive it would make any economic sense to heat your home with a cold climate heat pump and pay a 9% tax on the ever increasing electricity cost to fuel it

This tax will only fund more of your poorly managed ineffective money wasting social programs as well as drive Vermonts economy completly into the dumper as the already ridiculous codt of doing biz here will skyrocket, never mind killing what little consumer spending there is here.. never ever in the history of taxation has adding a tax eliminated or reduced another..
As for saving the "low incomers" money.. again, baseless b.s. For as most of them already pay little to no taxes.. wake up & give up on this the stupidest idea ever....

Great more taxes to help lower income, how does that help them they still need to buy gas or will they get a gas card to go with their Food stamp card. Vermont will soon be known as the TAX EVERYTHING STATE and no one will want to live here or retire here since VT is one of the only states that tax retirement. The Green State for sure wanting all of the working classes Green MONEY!
