To Dave Smith and Gynge at 9. This is a petition to put a stop to a Broncs v Dragons game on a Thursday night in Round 23 at Suncorp Stadium. This is not a game to help prop up TV ratings. This is a crowd attendance game and always has been. There are regularly 30-40 thousand in attendance to this annual clash and this year looks to be a top of the table match up.
Dragons supporters north of the Tweed don't often get to see their team run out live, and we look forward to the Suncorp game every time the schedule is released. By playing the game on a Thursday (as rumoured), you, Channel 9 and the NRL, negate the potential for a massive crowd and deprive fans of getting to this great fixture. Many of us in Qld travel to Brisbane for this clash, and I for one, as well as the party I will be traveling with, will not make the effort for a Thursday game as it means 2 days off work for us.
Please consider the fans and take this petition into account even at this late hour.

you give us 5 Monday night games and now you want to give us one on a Thursday night.
People who supports there teams can not always get time of work to travel in the middle of the week keep the games on Fridays and the weekend and Mondays.
Impossible for Sydney Dragons fans to attend o a Thursday at Suncorp! What a ridiculous suggestion!
Planning to make it to the game from Rocky as I always try to do being a loyal Dragon fan. Been waiting for confirmation of Friday or Sunday . Cant and wont be bothering for a Thursday game.
Why do members suffer from missing games as we don't find out the fixtures of round 22 onwards until a couple of weeks before?

no one will go to it because it will be thursday, footy is supposed to be a time where you enjoy a game with your family or friends. But it will be a school night and your kids won't get home untill 1-2am. Or you will have to go to work extremely tired
