Recieved a replacement phone cracked screen, battery won't hold charge. My wife called assurion was told that I must of cracked it and they wanted remote access to the phone to try to fix battery problem. I will never give someone remote access to anything I own because of information contained in device, bank info, and other personal data. I made several attempts to resolve issue with both verizon and asurion, some agents would tell me that they were going to take care of it just give me 24 hours others would be extremely rude and not listen to me one bit. The final nail I was told by asurion that I would have to file another claim tried and was denied because of manufactures defect, this makes no sense finally gave up paid off all four lines with verizon wireless personal and transferred to business account much better customer service also cancelled insurance with asurion. Upgraded broken phone that asurion sent to me. So still out all the insurance payments plus deductible of 200.00 this is only our 3rd claim in 6 years on 5 lines, the math just doesn't work out should be treated better.

Maybe you guys should read the insurance welcome packet instead of listening to some sales rep in a store trying to make commission off of everything they sell to you. If you're not responsible with your phone, it's no one's fault but your own, regardless of accidental damage or loss, etc. And insurance is optional, filing a claim is optional... Seems anyone who buys into the market and didn't research or read anything about it is the one who is really at fault...

Sprint charges insurance but no coverage when needed.

I noticed there was a class action lawsuit for same issues but only covered T-Mobile (was filed from San Franciso, CA) Titled: Wineesa Cole v. Asurion Corp., et al. URL: https://eclaim.kccllc.net/caclaimforms/aue/home.aspx

I use AT&T in California. Make mistake of paying for "Insurance" - total scam. Was not told there would be a deductible or that it would be a refurb phone. I ended up paying more for the monthly fees & deductible than if I had no insurance and just bought a reburb iPhone 6 to replace original.

Get refurbished phones not new ones also they last about a year then it was time to get a new one. High deductible been paying this insurance for years on two phones. Its a rip off I think. Now I am paying for a brand new phone on my Discover card at least I know it will last because its not a refurbished one.

Had a claim on 2 of my 8 devices purchased from ATT. My insurance is 30 per month total for 8 devices. I had 2 claims within a week of each other and was given 2 substitute Galaxy S5e's because the Fire Phones are no longer available. I am still paying installments on the 4 fire phones @$105 each at $15 per month. Each Fire cost me $499 originally, but came with Free 8 inch Fire Kindle Tablet. Aurian charged me for the 2 Galaxy replacements $112 and $225. The Galaxy 5's go for under $99 online, where still available, but the Galaxy 7 is the current phone out now. SO, the insurance is just a gimmick to charge you another huge amount for your phone. And lastly, the two charges hit my next bill making the bill unaffordable at $952.92 due in full.

I agree I think this company needs to go down for what they are doing to consumers.

I have a similar situation with both sprint and asurion. After 4 months I'm still currently waiting for a refund.

Pay the insurance every month, phone was defective from day 1. Went through asurion, they sent me a refurbished one. Didnt change the ime on my account, sprint wont help on correcting info to get a different phone. 850 wasted. On top of 250 every month

I would be very interested in also suing Asurion as Sprint said my phone was water damaged and it would cost $150 but t h ey gave me a refurbished c ellphone from Galaxy 4 to LG2! Now they are threatening to charge me over $400 for the Galaxy 4 cellphone that is damaged even though I was told the price is the same so it doesn't matter if its lost or damaged!! The only way of no charge is it is a defect provided no red dot shown as they take the phone in the back so you can't see it being opened!!

I agree. I believe if we have to pay a monthly fee, we shouldn't have a deductible that is so high. Pay 11$ a Month for 6 months and have a 175$ deductible. I could buy a new phone for that price.

Verizon's reps assured me my device was protected when it wasn't. And I didn't realize it until I was out of the open enrollment period. Now my phones are unprotected and both Verizon and Asurion insist there is nothing they can do.
