We demand that no armed guards from a private security company (Sarasota Security Patrol, Inc. or otherwise) be allowed in Manatee Public Elementary Schools. If the district decides that an armed person must be in our schools, we demand that this person be a properly trained community police officer employed by the Manatee Sheriff's Department (SRO). We demand that the Manatee School Board provide full transparency for all decisions made in relation to the safety of our students .
