To The Hon’ble Minister Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Government of India Subject: Petition to Save and Protect the Aravalli Hills Respected Sir/Madam, I humbly wish to draw your kind attention to the alarming condition of the Aravalli Hills, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world and a vital ecological barrier for northern India. The Aravalli range plays a crucial role in maintaining environmental balance by preventing desertification, recharging groundwater, regulating climate, and supporting rich biodiversity. Unfortunately, unchecked mining, illegal construction, deforestation, and rapid urbanization are causing severe damage to this fragile ecosystem. The degradation of the Aravallis has resulted in falling groundwater levels, loss of wildlife, increased air pollution, and extreme climatic conditions in nearby regions. If immediate and strict measures are not taken, the destruction of the Aravalli Hills will lead to irreversible environmental damage, affecting millions of people. It is therefore our earnest request that the government enforces strict laws against illegal mining, promotes afforestation, declares more areas as protected zones, and ensures sustainable development practices in the region.
