NO Annexation or Tax Increment Financing for 450+ Home Development in Boonville School District

I live on hwy 98 and do not want more traffic on this road. We had a fatal accident a few months ago. Don’t need more traffic.

This is not like an industry that promises to create hundreds of jobs. The TIF proposal would only benefit the developer. It is a thoroughly bad idea, and you are being asked to pay for it. Contact all City Council members and tell them you are opposed.

What about POLICING this area. Law enforcement has its hands full now. Local Drug use a growing issue and more to follow without proper Law enforcement. Next weather issues on HWY 98 State - City who takes care of that. There are several issue this is of GREAT IMPORTANCE. Think long and hard about whats going on. Success Mr. and Mrs. Home Owner is Planned it just does not happen with out GOOD PLANING. You say School, Tax Busing lot of thing to do.

Please do not allow the TIF monies for this development. It will take away too much money from our schools snd eventuslly cause our taxes to increase.

This number of houses could add several hundred additional vehicles using Highway 98 per day on their way to Columbia to work and shop. This highway has no shoulders, along with 2 sharp "S" curves. In addition, the road consist of one hill after another. This makes for a dangerous situation especially when the school buses are stop. Therefore with adding an additional 200 or more vehicles a day it appears that we are just begging for accidents with possible loss of life.

This is not good use of funds and I am a driver on this highway, it is busy enough and our infrastructure cannot support the growth.

Let's keep Boonville the way it is. No tax credits for housing developments.

These taxes are not to be used for individuals. These homes are not bringing in new businesses. It's great that someone wants to put up a subdivision but if they don't have the money to put in their own streets and sewers then they don't have money to complete what they say they are going to do. Other contractors building in this town are not asking for the city to pay for their projects. If you give it to one contractor you have to give it to all of them.

Quit using the taxpayer to support bone-headed and fiscally illiterate economic development proposals.

This sounds like a really really bad idea!! Please do not allow this to happen.

The city can’t take care of what they have now. They want to build streets in the subdivision, what about 98? It’s not brining more kids for schools. County taxes raise the funds for schools. Stay out of the country side, there is a reason ppl don’t want to live in the city. That’s why I moved out of the city..

We don't need city government involvement in a private developer's pipe dream!

AS STATED BY SOMEONE (ELSE) WHO KNOWS: Residential TIFs are perhaps the worst used of TIF, because they will guarantee higher costs for government that will not be offset by an expansion of the tax base. They are building 400 homes. Many of those will be for families with children (which is wonderful). Those children will go to the public schools, who now have to educate many more kids whose properties are not on the tax rolls. How will the school district pay for that? There is only one answer. By raising taxes on everyone else.

Highway 98 is a narrow winding road. There are no shoulders and is full of wildlife (deer) etc. A development of this size will seriously increase the amount of traffic with NO Posted signs of Speed Limits. Some drive it much faster than others. Most of this area are residential homes on tracts of land. It is frequently used as a shortcut from I70. By adding a huge housing development on an already dangerous road could have serious impacts to residents and school buses.

The city can’t handle this development

This should absolutely NOT go. Way to many cons and not very many pros.

This absolutely cannot happen! So many cons vs. pros!
