I am supportive of wearing masks by choice and I wish more people would choose to wear them in confined areas. However, I am not in favor of an imposed mask mandate. My child suffered serious headaches and other medical issues due to mandated mask wearing while participating in sports in New Hanover county last year and we were not able to find a doctor to sign off on a mask waiver.

If you think that masks protect you, you wear one. Why should I have to wear one if you are protected! More people die from flu than Covid. Have you ever worn a mask during flu outbreaks?

I live halfway across the state but chose to do business in NHC as I also have family there. Masks do not stop viral spread through eye mucosa. Stop with the societal gaslighting
