We are asking the Crow Wing County Board of Commissioners to vote "no" on a resolution to make Crow Wing County a "2nd Amendment Sanctuary." Not only is this resolution completely unnecessary, it is also actively dangerous to the county. If the state legislature passes a law in the future that conflicts with this resolution, we will end up fighting a legal battle that will drain the already scarce resources of the county. Furthermore, this resolution is nothing more than "political theater," designed to rally together a very specific block of voters while alienating others. During this pandemic, it is more important than ever that we come together as a community to support each other in a time of crisis. This resolution has the opposite effect. It is a bad idea all around, and something that should absolutlety not be passed.

This is a complete waste of time. Please focus on real issues like providing adequate PPE for our medical staff and dealing with high unemployment.

Our county relies on tourism. The negative publicity from this action by the county might encourage vacationers to choose a different location to spend their dollars. We can not afford a tourism boycott!

Please don't waste my money on this when you can't even afford to provide adequate resources for the county to carry out basic safety services.

Not a worthwhile use of the time or resources of CWC. Completely unnecessary.

This would be an unfair use of tax dollars to benefit one group of people.
