No 2-3 Hour Parking Limit in Blue Ridge

I am a prior resident of Blue Ridge.

I am opposed to regulation downtown Parking. As a 5 year employee of MULTITUDES many folks day tripping Train riding or shopping and dining APPRECIATE the casual atmosphere Along Main Street. I would suggest Having a routine shuttle bus pick up Visitors at the far end of town Drop visitors at children park. And PICK UP at main and hall st back to The large parking deck run every 30 Minutes. Shopkeepers can pay Got a small advertisement inside The bus. Thank you

NO to a 2-3 hr parking limit. Not even enough time for people to ride the train. Would be a shame to limit time for people to eat in the wonderful restaurants and shop in the wonderful shops!!!! And then what are you going to give them tickets.....that would not be a very good memory of visiting Blue Ridge!! I live in a neighboring town and visit Blue Ridge frequently.

Restricting the parking would hurt all the small business's in downtown Blue Ridge and run our tourists to other surrounding cities. It would be really sad!

Tourists are the lifeblood of downtown. This policy only makes it harder for tourists to explore and spend money in our economy. I have a booth in downtown Blue Ridge Antique Mall and have a cabin off Aska Road.

Downtown takes longer than 3 hours to explore! Why are you hurting our town, Councilmembers?

NO NO NO!

I thought Blue Ridge was a place to come and spend the day--not 3 hours--strolling, dining and shopping. I hope we will continue to make people feel welcomed and not rushed to leave.

2-3 hour parking is silly. It will only push people out of town town.

My daughter and her family have a cabin in Blue Ridge, and we enjoy going into the downtown area when we visit her. This would limit our enjoyment of your great downtown area.

This is not the way to solve a problem. If im performing in the area, i do not want to worry about being towed. Please address the issue with a plan, not a bandaid that will be ripped off.

What a disastrous idea.

As a non resident I want to be clear that I will visit this place due to family connections BUT I am significantly less likely to come into town and shop if parking restrictions are implemented as put forth by the council.

Comprehensive plan prior to any action makes more sense!

This is not the way to resolve the issue of parking. Are we, as a city, really going to punish the people (tourists) that support our economy for doing just that? If you are planning a vacation somewhere and you see that you will have to move your car halfway through dinner or shopping to avoid a ticket and a tow, are you going to make that town your first choice? I think not. Also, how would this be enforced? How will you know when to write these tourists tickets and tow them at the end of the allotted time? I think it is good that this is issue is being discussed, but this is not the solution in my opinion. We need to be very careful at how this problem is resolved, there is much more at stake than just finding a place to park.

I do not support a 3 hour parking limit.

As a worker downtown, this is completely unfair! I'd rather have a parking garage.
