Dear Dr Muthwa (Acting Vice Chancellor, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University)

As the NMMU Post Graduate CTA Class of 2016, we are proud of our time at NMMU and the amazing journey we have had with the School of Accounting.

Unfortunately, years of hard work stand on the brink of being wasted due to the current deadlock surrounding the #FMF protests and campus shutdown.

We are ready to write our exams. The country needs us. Our future professional body, SAICA needs us. The firms we will be working for and training with need us. Our friends and family who supported us on this long road need us.

This is a petition to confirm our united stance that our CTA exams for 2016 must be allowed to continue, safely and securely, without fear of intimidation nor outside influence.

We respectfully petition the NMMU to allow the School of Accounting to commence our final exams post haste and put in place the necessary measures to safeguard this.
