Ridiculous that our state is trying to squeeze money out of non profit volunteers. Leave these families alone already!!!

This is just ridiculous. Taxing people for trying to help kids is the lowest of the low. NM needs to get their act together.

This is another unjust situation that big government has overlooked but needs to remedy. I agree that no one should pay gross receipts tax when there is no product being sold.

This tax should not be imposed on employees who do not "sell" a product or service. There are no "receipts" to tax for this type of program. In no way are these kids bought or sold, thank goodness!

It is not just to have a person not selling a service or tangible goods to pay gross receipts tax! Please review this process and correct it for our citizens!!!

Thank you Sarah for bringing this to our attention! I had no idea! This really affects all and every future local coordinator here that volunteers so many hours for so little and then gets hit with this bombshell.
