We are very disappointed that this new Sixth Form uniform policy has been slipped in under the radar, was the Sixth Form student committee consulted at all on the matter?
As someone who works in a modern office environment with a smart/casual clothing policy, I fail to see how a pair of smart jeans and a smart and clean t-shirt should not be considered suitable attire.
Surely these young adults have earned the right to choose for themselves what clothes they wear to Sixth form, just as they were able to make their own decision about which Sixth Form they attend. As they move forward to University they will be under no such restrictions, it is assumed that they are adult enough to make these decisions for themselves.
According to the school prospectus, North Leamington School expects their Sixth formers to 'help cultivate a climate of respect throughout the school' and yet are not prepared to extend the same courtesy to these young adults. Dictatorial not democratic.....very disappointing.

Think there needs to be consultation period and at the very leased a half way house on this.
This could actual cost more than school uniform.

I think that having the freedom to express your individuality is massively important for the last few years of your education as its helps to build your self confidence before stepping into the world of work. You've got the rest of your lives to dress like office-bots, you shouldn't be forced to do it while you are still kids!

The students should be made to feel comfortable in their own clothes without being restricted to be told what they can and can't wear. Some students feel that they will not attend the sixth form and make alternative choices which could impact on their education and career choice.
