I am against any policy that causes gender confusion by proclaiming males can become females and vice versa. God, nature, genitalia and genes all decisively determine what sex you are.

Our kids deserve safety, even if it means hurting the feelings of the small minority of 'transgender' students.

This is one of the most stupidest policy's that NLS thinks they need to bring to our attention. Kids have been going to school with the way it is for many years, why do we think we need to change something that has worked just fine. Why do we need to bring attention to a few, have you ever asked them if they want the attention? Why are we singling them out? With today's society, they are more likely to be bulled when they are being singled out! I would not want my child to be singled out if they were a transgender. So if we pass this policy, where do we stop.

Our children should never have to change and shower in mixed sex school locker rooms. This is harmful and degrading. I feel this is child endangerment and child abuse. A school locker room is not the place for experimenting with transgender conformity.

This is a policy that will inevitably be abused. What is going to stop someone from pretending to be transgender to gain access to the locker rooms and restrooms of the opposite sex? Putting the majority at risk to appease a minority makes no sense.

NLS already has a policy. We don't need another useless policy. Supt Carlson & a lot of school board members are NOT listening to the majority of the public speaking against their new transgender policy. Carlson just wants a feather in his hat before his retires in a couple of years. Teachers seem to be intimidated by Carlson & his speakers at their training, because they will be disciplined

Our schools need to think things through. Just because a student self identifies with one sex or another does not mean that it is safe for them (or other students) in the locker room/bathroom of the sex they identify with. An easy answer that keeps everyone safe is UNISEX single stall bathrooms. Let's not make a huge issue. Let's use some common sense. Keep everyone safe from bullying and/or worse.
