All of the problems noted in the accompanying letter make NL a more difficult place to plan and carry out exploration, thereby reducing NL's competitive advantage that has been promoted over the years. Companies like NL but need certainty in their exploration.

More staff greatly needed. The fine people in there are over their heads, however great they are!

Example: I've lost a property in the 10th year due to my 8th year report being rejected 2 years later.

Critical timeline deficiencies in the Mineral Lands administrative processes need to be rectified asap.

Agreed. Action needed. The people doing the job now are great, it's likely a matter of big volumes and backlogs of reports, so they need additional help in getting assessment reports reviewed.

For a province so rich in mineral and economic potential it’s sad to see such a backlog in work and licence upkeep. Option agreements with companies have been negated due to overdue licence upkeep and have resulted in loss of work for those properties.
